Small Groups

The Small Group ministry at The Log Church is built upon four foundations:

  • fostering fellowship,
  • caring for one another,
  • praying together, and
  • studying the Bible and Biblical principles.

Creating Fellowship

Intentional fellowship is central to the small group experience. In these gatherings, relationships are built, trust is established, and faith is strengthened through genuine conversation and shared life experiences.

Caring for One Another

The New Testament frequently uses the phrase “one another,” instructing us to love, encourage, support, and carry each other’s burdens. This repeated call is a clear reminder that God intends for us to walk through life in community, rather than in isolation. Small groups create an ideal environment for nurturing these meaningful, caring relationships among believers.

Praying Together

Jesus himself set the example of regular prayer, often withdrawing to spend quiet moments with God for guidance and renewal. While prayer can feel challenging for many, being part of a small group offers the chance to learn, practice, and grow in prayer together. Through shared prayer, members not only draw closer to God but also deepen their connections with each other.

Studying the Bible

Spiritual growth is cultivated through the study of Scripture. Within small groups, members explore the Bible together, ask questions, seek different perspectives, and discuss how biblical truths apply to everyday life. These conversations help the Bible come alive, offering practical wisdom and deeper understanding for all involved.

It is our prayer-filled desire that everyone at TLC becomes involved in a small group to receive the blessings of fellowship, caring, praying, and studying God’s word together.  We have several small groups in place – some that are ready to accept new members, and we have resources to help you form a small group around your stage of life, location, interests and schedule.
