The resurrection of Jesus transformed His followers from fear to faith. From the empty tomb to appearances on the road to Emmaus, the disciples encountered the risen Christ in profound ways. Their lives were forever changed, and the world was impacted by their testimony of His love and victory over death.

On the night He was betrayed, Jesus faced sorrow, betrayal, and abandonment—yet chose obedience and love. In Gethsemane, He submitted to the Father’s will. At the table, He offered His body and blood. His sacrifice reminds us: no greater love exists than to lay down one’s life for others.

Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem on a donkey fulfilled ancient prophecy, declaring Him the true Messiah. The crowd shouted “Hosanna,” but their praise was short-lived. When Jesus didn’t meet their expectations, they turned on Him. Today, He still rides in—gentle and lowly—asking: will you receive Him, or turn away?

Jonah’s anger toward Nineveh’s repentance reveals his misplaced priorities. He valued Israel over God’s mercy for all people. Through God’s response, Jonah learns that mercy and compassion should extend to everyone, not just those we deem worthy. This story challenges us to examine our hearts and align them with God’s.

Jonah’s obedience to God’s command to deliver a simple message to Nineveh resulted in the city’s repentance and salvation. This story highlights the power of God’s Word, the importance of justice, and our call to share the Gospel. Even small steps of obedience can lead to transformative change.

When Jonah hit rock bottom—literally in the belly of a fish—he discovered the depth of God’s grace. It’s often in our darkest moments that we encounter His love most clearly. Grace doesn’t come when we’re strong, but when we’re surrendered. Salvation belongs to the Lord, not our strength.

When we run from God, we often forget we’re not just fleeing His call—we’re fleeing His grace. Jonah’s story reminds us that disobedience brings storms, not just for us but for those around us. Yet even in our rebellion, God pursues us with mercy. The question isn’t if He’s calling—but where are we running when He does?
