The Log Church: Upcoming Events and Opportunities

Greetings, Church Family!

TLC CONNECT — October 30, 2026

The TLC CONNECT highlights Sunday worship on Nov. 1st featuring the sermon “The Good and the Bad,” based on 1 Corinthians 4:1–13. The message will explore the pastor’s role and the conflict between conceit and humility. A congregational meeting will follow the worship service, and the church also recognizes the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church throughout Nov.

There are several opportunities for fellowship, prayer, and service. Men are invited to Prayer with the Pastor on Monday evening, Nov. 2nd, focusing on the power of a praying man. Women’s Tuesday morning Bible Study begins a new book on Nov. 3rd. Members are also encouraged to support local food shelves by donating requested nonperishable foods or making a financial contribution to help neighbors in need during the holiday season. The newsletter reminds readers to turn their clocks back one hour on Saturday night for the end of daylight saving time.

The weekly schedule provides the church’s activities for the coming week, including Sunday worship, weekday Bible studies, youth activities, children’s programs, and the Wednesday evening meal. The Nov. 4th meal features chicken enchiladas, rice, corn, and dessert. The youth group will continue its study of the Gospel of John, examining Jesus as the Good Shepherd.

Upcoming events offer additional opportunities for fellowship and outreach. EPIC ministry has a game night and potluck planned for this Sunday, along with Christmas caroling in December, a progressive dinner, and a January breakfast gathering. Members are reminded to pick up Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes, fill them, and return them by Nov. 22nd. The page also announces a Nov. 15th lunch with Pastor Troy for those interested in learning more about The Log Church and its ministries. Finally, a Nov. 8th fundraising meal will support the North Carolina Reach Global Team, with freewill donations welcomed.
