Greetings, Church Family!

Oct. 23, 2026

TLC CONNECT — October 23, 2026

This issue of TLC CONNECT invites the congregation to worship on Sunday, Oct. 25th, as Pastor Troy Nelson continues the Grace in the Mess sermon series with “Tested by Fire,” based on 1 Corinthians 3:10–23. The message explores how our work for the Lord will be tested and how believers can build a life of lasting spiritual value.

The newsletter also invites the church family to a reception honoring Kathryn for her ministry as Worship Director. Additional announcements include a congregational meeting on Nov. 1st, Soup with the Shepherd on Nov. 8th for those interested in learning more about The Log Church, a new Tuesday morning women’s Bible study beginning Nov. 3rd, and the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. Upcoming Epic Ministry activities, including game night, Christmas caroling, a progressive dinner, and breakfast at Valeri Ann’s, are also featured. Medicare counseling appointments are available on October 29.

Also provided is the weekly church calendar for Oct. 25–30, including Sunday worship, Bible studies, prayer, quilting, the Wed. night meal, youth group, KIDS Club, Lumberjacks, Men’s Fraternity, WEBS, and other small-group gatherings.

The devotional, “Wait in Stillness,” draws from Psalm 46:10 and Proverbs 3:5–6, encouraging readers to stop striving for control, wait patiently for God’s direction, and trust His wisdom and loving plan. Youth Group will continue its study of the Gospel of John, exploring the purpose behind Jesus’ miracles.  Wednesday night meal is soup, grilled ham & cheese, vegetables with dip, and dessert.
