The Log Church: Upcoming Events and Opportunities

Greetings, Church Family!

TLC Connect – November 6, 2026

This week’s newsletter highlights Sunday’s message, “Paul’s Example: The Marks of a Spiritual Father,” based on 1 Corinthians 4:14–21. The congregation is invited to explore the characteristics of a good spiritual father and what it means to provide godly leadership and encouragement.

Several important church announcements are included. On Sunday, Nov. 8th, the church will commission the North Carolina Reach Global Team following worship, with a freewill donation opportunity. The Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child project continues, with shoeboxes available for pickup and completed boxes due Nov. 22nd.

There is a date change for “Soup with the Shepher,” scheduled for Nov. 15th. Pastor Troy will host a meal for anyone interested in learning more about The Log Church and its ministries. Reservations are required because space is limited to 12 people.

Finally, the church expresses heartfelt appreciation to Sharon Jacobson for her many years of faithful service recording congregational meeting minutes. The congregation is also invited to consider volunteering to take over this important responsibility.

Also provided is the upcoming weekly schedule of Bible studies, prayer groups, ministry gatherings, and church activities for Nov. 8–13th. Sunday includes pre-service prayer, worship, and a pancake breakfast. Wednesday evening features the church meal, youth group, KIDS Club, Lumberjacks, Men’s Fraternity, WEBS, and BetterMan Bible Study.

Youth Group continues its study of the Gospel of John with the lesson “Back from the Dead,” examining the significance of Jesus raising Lazarus and how this miracle influenced the religious leaders.

Looking ahead, the newsletter highlights several EPIC Ministry activities, including Christmas caroling on Dec. 9th, a progressive dinner on Dec.13th, and breakfast at Valeri Ann’s on Jan. 9th.

Additional announcements include the Wednesday night meal menu, the annual staff love offering through Dec. 13th, and Christmas Eve candlelight services at 2:30 and 4:00 PM. The newsletter also provides October and year-to-date general operating fund giving figures, along with ways to contribute to the church.
