The Log Church: Upcoming Events and Opportunities

Greetings, Church Family!

​The Log Church’s TLC Connect newsletter for March 14, 2025, provides an overview of upcoming events and messages for the congregation.​

Sunday Service – March 16th: The upcoming sermon, titled “Where Are You Running?” will focus on Jonah 1, exploring themes of obedience and avoiding God’s call.​

Anchor Youth Ministries Online Auction Fundraiser: An online auction will be held from March 16 at noon to March 23 at noon to support the Summer 2025 Disaster Relief Trip to Moore, Oklahoma. Details and participation can be found at 32auctions.com/anchorauction2025.​

Youth Group Activities:

• Saturday, March 15th: The youth ministry will serve food from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the strip mall housing Common Goods and Andy’s Restaurant in downtown Crosslake. Youth interested in participating can sign up with Pastor Mike.​

• Wednesday, March 19th: The youth group will discuss “I am… the Good Shepherd,” delving into the significance of this metaphor in understanding Jesus’ role.​

St. Patrick’s Day Parade Participation: Members are invited to join the parade on Saturday, March 15th. Those walking the full length should meet at the float in Town Square by noon. Others can join along the route to assist or walk alongside. Participants are advised to bring umbrellas or rain gear.​

ABIDE – Evening of Worship & Prayer: An evening dedicated to worship and prayer is scheduled for Monday, March 17th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the sanctuary.​

Camp Shamineau Registration: The Log Church is organizing a trip to Camp Shamineau from July 20-25, offering various programs for different age groups. Early bird registration, with a $20 discount, is available for payments made in full by April 1st. Registration details are available at shamineau.org.​

Wednesday Night Meal – March 19th: A meal will be served from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall, featuring popcorn chicken, tater tots, corn, pears, lemonade, and cookies. A donation of $5.00 per person or a maximum of $10.00 per family is suggested.​

  • 9:30 AM & 10:30 AM: Women’s Bible Study​

• Wednesday, March 19th:

  • 5:30 PM: Wednesday Night Meal​

  • 6:00 PM: Youth Group​

  • 6:30 PM: Grace-Based Marriage, KIDS Club, Women’s Bible Study, Men’s Bible Study​

• Saturday, March 22nd:

  • 7:00 AM: Men’s Prayer & Pickleball​

Devotional – “Be Like Sandy!”: A reflection by Julie Urich emphasizes that God values willingness over perfection. The story of Sandy joining the choir, despite feeling unqualified, illustrates that God looks at the heart and encourages everyone to serve, regardless of perceived limitations.​
