The August 14th edition of TLC CONNECT highlights the theme of “Love of Obedience,” encouraging us to consider how we respond when God asks us to change or follow His direction. The newsletter also reminds everyone about the Outdoor Baptism Service and Pig Roast Potluck Picnic on Sunday, August 16, with worship and baptisms followed by a church-provided pig roast and fellowship.
The newsletter looks ahead to several upcoming activities and opportunities. These include the August 23 congregational meeting, an estate-planning seminar on August 27, Youth Group’s Kart Kountry outing, Women’s Fellowship, and the return of the Heart of the City Worship Band on August 30. It also announces September events, including the restart of Wednesday evening programs and meals and Trauma Care Healing Conversations training.
Also included is a heartfelt farewell from Dave and Pauline Ketcher after nearly three decades as part of The Log Church family. It also includes an upcoming auction notice and announces that True North Ranch Ministries, supported missionaries in the local community, will be sharing during the August 23rd worship service.
