The newsletter welcomes the congregation to worship on August 9 with the sermon “Love of Yourself!”, exploring the biblical importance of having a healthy understanding of ourselves so that we can properly love others. The church also invites everyone to Inspiration & Ice Cream, featuring John Merrill and Michelle Lipp sharing stories from their mission trips to Thailand.

Upcoming events include the August 23 congregational meeting, opportunities for baptism, and the Outdoor Baptism Service & Pig Roast Potluck Picnic on August 16. The church will provide the main meal, while attendees are encouraged to bring a side dish or dessert and lawn chairs.

It includes highlights of upcoming youth activities, including a bowling outing at Jack’s House, along with the weekly church schedule and Women’s Fellowship gatherings. The newsletter also announces the return of the Heart of the City Worship Band on August 30 and asks for homes to host visiting musicians.

Additional announcements include the upcoming Wednesday evening programs and meals beginning September 23, a Camp Knutson quilt auction project, an estate planning seminar on August 27, and a Healing Conversations training opportunity in September.
